Dr. Leung Chun Yu is Board-certified in Canine and Feline Practice (DABVP). He has been part of our medical centre since his graduation in 2010.
Dr. Leung graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010. Following his graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Leung earned his Master’s Degree in Veterinary Studies (Small Animal Practice) from Murdoch University in 2016. In 2017, Dr. Leung attained his Membership in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Small Animal Medicine.
Dr. Leung is experienced in all aspects of canine and feline practice with particular interests in oncology and internal medicine. Dr. Leung completed a year-long course in medical oncology at the University of Sydney in 2016 as well as multiple other courses related to oncology throughout his career. In 2017 Dr. Leung also took externships in oncology at Washington State University, North Carolina State University and the Veterinary Cancer Center in the USA. Dr. Leung provides current opinions in oncology and internal medicine. With his interest in oncology, Dr. Leung aims to dispel misconceptions clients often have about cancer treatment, which can lead to them making regrettable decisions for their pets.
In 2021 Dr. Leung became one of the five-hundred Diplomats of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (DABVP) in Canine and Feline Practice. ABVP is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association to offer certification of species-oriented specialists. The ABVP Diplomats have demonstrated superior knowledge and expertise in species-specific clinical veterinary practice.
Dr. Leung enjoys educating his clients on their pets’ condition and helping them decide on the best course of treatment. Dr. Leung prioritizes maintaining a good quality of life for each patient undergoing therapy.
