Dr. Metzelaar Alisa Sarah, Christine

Dr. Alisa graduated from Murdoch University and passed the North American Licensing Examination (NAVLE) in 2012. She joined Heung Wo Animal Medical Centre soon after and has been with us since then. Dr. Alisa has completed several year-long distance education courses including Feline Medicine, Ophthalmology and Neurology through the Center for Veterinary Education at the University of Sydney. She has also completed a Master degree offered by Massey University in 2020.
Dr. Alisa enjoys in all fields of veterinary medicine and surgery but particularly interested in small animal internal medicine, emergency and critical care and exotic medicine. She aims to provide high quality medical care for her patients through client education and practicing good preventative medicine.
Dr. Alisa is fluent in Japanese and is able to offer consultation in Japanese if necessary.
